What is the Countdown in Hollywood Event?

Held at the Recreation Center, "Countdown in Hollywood" is Provo City's New Year's Eve Celebration. There will be hours of live entertainment, multiple interactive activities, food, red carpets, aerial dancers, stunt teams, spotlights, inflatable, boat races and fireworks!

How Much are Tickets?

Wristbands cost $10 for adults and $8 for youth. Recreation Center members can purchase wristbands half off.

Where Can I Buy Wristbands?

Wristbands can be purchased at the Recreation Center starting December 1st.  Wristbands can also be purchased the day of the event.

Why isn't Countdown at the Mall?

Now that we have a beautiful, large, Recreation Center to work with, we want to use it! Moving the event from the mall to the Recreation Center allows us to decorate and theme the event, and provides a safer and better controlled venue.

What Age Group is this Geared Toward?

There are activities for all ages. There will be inflatables and shows for young children, as well as interactive games and entertainment for adults.

Am I Supposed to Dress Up?

We don't recommend it.  There will be many active games and wearing formal attire may hinder your movements. 

Will There be Fireworks?

There will be two firework shows. One at 9PM, and the finale at 12AM.

What Food will be Available at the Event?

We will have a variety of food trucks available for your choosing!

Where Can I Park?

Parking will be available in the Recreation Center parking lot, as well as surrounding commercial parking lots. 

How Much Money Should I Plan on Spending?

The only mandatory expense is admission. Food trucks will be the only additional cost should you choose to purchase anything. 

What are Jimmy Fallon Games?

If you watch the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he invites celebrities to come play a variety of games with them. Stacy from Studio C will be hosting our games, with Stuart Edge, Mayor Curtis, and BYU Soccer star Nadia Gomes playing Double Turtleneck Ping pong, Flip Cup, Charades, and Password
