Here is a sneak peak at the Haunted House, part of the Provo
City Halloween Carnival on October 31st. The event runs from 5:00-10:00pm on Thursday, Halloween, at the Provo Recreation Center. Check back daily for more previews of the Halloween Carnival!
The event staff is putting
all our spare time into setting up this part of our annual event. Eric Layland,
our haunted house mastermind, is our lead on this project; he has created ideas
for a haunted forest, a zombie zone, and killer closet. This year the
haunted house will be held in the old veterans pool facility building, which
makes it that much scarier! Because it is held in the old vet’s pool locker rooms, we can
decorate the place however we want. This includes dripping and splashing Tide
Laundry Detergent all over the walls. Now why would we do that? Because in a
black light, the Tide GLOWS! It looks like blood dripping down the doors with cryptic
messages smeared on the walls. To see the full effect of Tide in black light,
come to the Halloween Carnival. For Provo Center members it is free, for all
else who want to come enjoy it is $5 for adults, $4 for children. For the
Haunted House we recommend that the participants be 10 years or older so we don’t
give any of the little-ones nightmares. We will see you there!
Special Thanks to --- the creator of The Anguish Asylum at
Provo Town Centre for letting us tour his Haunted House to glean ideas. Check it out at Provo Towne Centre Mall.
