Christmas Market 2013: A New Tradition

The first annual Christmas market was a success. Despite the cold and snow we had quite a crowd at the Lights On Ceremony and excited Christmas shoppers strolling through the vendors all night. The highlights of the night were the arrival of the llamas and reindeer, the lighting of the Christmas lights accompanied by fireworks, and pictures with Santa. If you took pictures with Santa you can find your photo on facebook.

With about 1,000 people attending, we were happy to see local vendors finding success with hot chocolate, crepes, and Navajo tacos.  Local craft vendors also exhibited art, jewelry, scarves, and fresh bread. Stop by the City Center to see the giant gingerbread village display.

Huge shout out to our sponsors for helping put on the event: Pioneer Book & Unhinged Boutique.  Thank you to our great performers: Dallin McAllister, 6 Miles Ahead, Table Nine, and Jodie Skidmore. We hope more locals will join us next year for this new Provo Holiday tradition.
